Job Title: Critical Facilities Technician

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Facilities Technician to join our Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment to ensure continuous operation, reliability, and uptime for critical customer systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain Critical Infrastructure: Operate, inspect, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, power distribution units, generators, HVAC/cooling systems, fire suppression, and building management systems to maximize reliability.

  • Manage Operations and Customer Requests: Resolve service tickets, perform technical troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems, and support customer equipment installations adhering to established procedures.

  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Execute all operations and maintenance activities in strict adherence to IMDC safety guidelines, organizational standards, and vendor workflow procedures (MOPs).

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience of hands-on experience in critical facilities, data center environments, or industrial operations maintaining UPS, HVAC, and generator systems.

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building management systems.

  • Proven ability in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues under operational procedures while managing work independently.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or completion of a technical apprenticeship program.
